Cut for a Cure 2017

Pirate Krewe Cut for a Cure

Thank you for visiting our online team fundraising page. At 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 26th, some local children battling pediatric cancer will take the helm of the pirate ship "Jose Gasparilla," and become pirates for the day. To support these brave kids, we pirates are pledging to shave our beards to raise funds to support research to end childhood cancer once and for all.

The top fundraiser will have the opportunity to ride on the ship with the kids on February 26th after the shave event.

Join us in the fight against pediatric cancer and consider donating to our page. Together we can rise up and fund research for a cure!

Why we need your help:

  • Cancer is the number one cause of death by disease among children
  • 1 in 285 children will be diagnosed with cancer
  • 43 children per day or 15,780 children per year are expected to be diagnosed with cancer
  • More than 95% of childhood cancer survivors will have a significant health related issue by the time they are 45 years of age
