Cut for a Cure 2018

Academy of the Holy Names

This year the boys and girls at our school are shaving our heads, cutting our hair, or dying our hair with awareness colors to help fund the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation and to support children with cancer.

As students of the Academy of the Holy Names, we would like to help children with cancer. Most of us are lucky and are very healthy. We realize that there are many children who are not as fortunate as we are. By joining together, we hope to raise money for NPCF, but more importantly, to raise awareness about the staggering number of children with cancer, honor those who have died, and encourage those still fighting.

We are so proud of what we accomplished last year with our Cut for a Cure Campaign. Hopefully, we can continue to make a difference.

Please donate today!

Why we need your help:

  • Cancer is the number one cause of death by disease among children
  • 1 in 285 children will be diagnosed with cancer
  • 43 children per day or 15,780 children per year are expected to be diagnosed with cancer
  • More than 95% of childhood cancer survivors will have a significant health related issue by the time they are 45 years of age
